Part 1 - Preview
Ten years ago, KFBK brought you our nationally-award winning series, "Ride of Your Life," which vividly described the horrors of drunk driving. Unfortunately, the problem continues to grow in our state. California has the highest DUI rate in the nation with 1700 people killed in drunk driving accidents last year alone.

KFBK decided to take another hard look at this urgent problem this holiday season. In Part One of our series, "Ride of Your Life Revisited," KFBK's Tim Lantz tells us about law enforcement's tough efforts to stop the problem.....and gives us a first-hand report on how easy it is to become impaired. Don't think it can happen to you? Then you'd better listen...

Ride of Your Life REVISITED :: Part 1

Part 2
So many people think they will never get arrested for drunk driving. But the numbers keep going up each year.

In Part Two of our series "Ride of your Life: Revisited," KFBK's Nikki Medoro takes us through the process of getting arrested for a DUI -- where you'll learn very quickly why it doesn't pay to get behind the wheel of a car intoxicated.

Part 3
All this week we have been talking about the different ways driving under the influence can impact your life. In Part Three of KFBK's series, "Ride of Your Life Revisited," KFBK's Trevor Jones spoke with several people who have lost a friend or loved one in a DUI accident. Here is one mother's heartbreaking story....

Part 4
It seems like every day in the news, we hear about another drunk driving accident. Some are first-time incidents. Others are repeat offenders. Today, in Part Four of KFBK's DUI series, "Ride of Your Life Revisited," KFBK's Erin Covey tells us about two men -- one young, one older -- whose lives were changed forever when they decided to drive....drunk.

Part 5

All this week, KFBK has been telling you the human toll caused by the increasing problem of drunk driving. We've brought you stories on how easy it is to get impaired; what it's like to be arrested for a DUI; the human suffering felt by people who've lost a loved one to a drunk driver, and we've even talked to the drunk drivers themselves about how their lives were changed forever.

Most likely, it will never be possible to eliminate all drunk driving accidents or fatalities. But, as KFBK's Bob Moffitt tells us in Part 5 and final segment of "Ride of Your Life Revisited," there are a lot of people who make it their life's work to try. It is a two-pronged attack: preventing those convicted of DUI's from ever driving drunk again, and getting those who drink and drive, but have never been caught, to stop.
